Today I had my follow up appt with the sleep clinic. I was very excited for the appointment not because it was an appt but because it was my last doctor pre-requisite appointment for application for surgery. It was the quickest appt ever because I DO NOT HAVE SLEEP APNEA!!!!!!!!!!! I am jumping for joy because finally after all these appointments I have received some good news...no sleep apnea. I can take a deep breath and know that I am that much closer to application.
I called Vanderbilt today to check in on my paperwork and all had been received except for the sleep documentation which I just faxed a few moments ago. All papers are at Vanderbilt with hard copies on their way (but fax copies work just fine for the insurance process)! I did it. I've accomplished getting all of the needed things into the hands of the insurance specialist to make my application for WLS!!!!
I am so excited I am glowing and feel like skipping down the sidewalk with an extra jolt of energy in my bouncy step. I don't think there is a way to bring me down from some really good news like this today. I just want to hug someone! An added bonus to today's events is my weight. I weighed in today at 289.7 lbs. That means I've lost 1 more lb. That was just icing on the cake.
